5、sbetweenthecontractorandtheGovernment.5.Processcontrolsandstatisticalcontrolmethodsarethepreferablemeansofpreventingnonconformances,controllingquality,andgeneratinginformationforimprovement.Aneffectiveprocesscontrolsystemmayalsobeusedtoprovideinformationtoas

6、sessthequalityofdeliverablessubmittedforacceptance.SuppliersareencouragedtouseprocesscontrolandstatisticalcontrolproceduresfortheirinternalcontrolandtosubmiteffectiveprocesscontrolproceduresinlieuofprescribedsamplingrequirementstotheGovernmentforapproval.6.S

7、amplinginspectionbyitselfisaninefficientindustrialpracticefordemonstratingconformancetotherequirementsofacontractanditstechnicaldatapackage.Theapplicationofsamplingplansforacceptanceinvolvesbothconsumerandproducerrisks;andincreasedsamplingisonewayofreducingt
