3、tincreasesthespecificgravityofseparationand,therefore,washedcoalyieldandash,whichindicatestheimportanceofmaintainingaconstantfeed-solidscontenttopreservewashedcoalquality.Capacityisinfluencedbycyclonegeometry,i.e.,thesizesoftheoverflow,underflow,andinletopenings,and
4、byfeed-solidscontent.TheeffectsoftheseparametersisgiveninTable7-14.Increasinginletpressureisasimplemethodofincreasingcapacitywithoutchanginghydrocyclonegeometry,andwashedyieldandasharenotsignificantlyaffected.However,thepenaltyisincreasedpumpingcost,anddegradationof
5、thecoal.FlowsheetsSoonafterthehydrocyclonewasdeveloped,itbecameevidentthatperformancewasinferiortonearlyallothercleaningdevices.Consequently,inanefforttoimproveperformance,threetwostagecircuits,showninFig.7~64,weredeveloped.Intheearliesttwo-stagecircuit,calledtwo-st
6、agerelearnorTSR,therefusefromaprimaryhydrocycloneissimplyrelearnedinasecondaryhydrocyclone,Theoverflowsfromthetwohydrocyclonesarerecombinedasthewashedcoalproduct,andtheunderflowsfromthesecondaryhydroclonecontainsthefinalrefuse.Inmorerecentinstallations,oneoftheprodu
7、ctsfromthesecondaryhydrocycloneisrecirculatedtothefeedoftheprimaryhydrocyclone.Inthetwo-stageoverflowrecirculationcircuit,TSOR,theprimaryorfirst-stagehydrocycloneisadjustedtoproduceanacceptablecleancoalandthesecondaryhydrocycloneisadjustedtoproducearefuseessentially
