3、lconcernsaboutplagiarisminfourways:bydefiningplagiarism;bysuggestingsomeofthecausesofplagiarism;byproposingasetofresponsibilities(forstudents,teachers,andadministrators)toaddresstheproblemofplagiarism;andbyrecommendingasetofpracticesforteachingandlearningthatcansignific

4、antlyreducethelikelihoodofplagiarism.Thestatementisintendedtoprovidehelpfulsuggestionsandclarificationssothatinstructors,administrators,andstudentscanworktogethermoreeffectivelyinsupportofexcellenceinteachingandlearning.WhatIsPlagiarism?Ininstructionalsettings,plagiaris

5、misamultifacetedandethicallycomplexproblem.However,ifanydefinitionofplagiarismistobehelpfultoadministrators,faculty,andstudents,itneedstobeassimpleanddirectaspossiblewithinthecontextforwhichitisintended.Definition:Inaninstructionalsetting,plagiarismoccurswhenawriterdelib
