3、andundeniableClimateEvents,evidencethatacceleratedClimateChangeishererightnow.Droughtsareintensifying,ouroceansacidifying,withmethaneplumesrisingupfromtheoceanfloor.Weareseeingextremeweatherevents,andtheWestAntarcticandGreenlandmeltingatunprecedentedrates,decadesaheadofscientificprojections.Noneof
4、thisisrhetoric,andnoneofitishysteria.Itisfact.Thescientificcommunityknowsit,Industryknowsit、Governmentknowit,eventheUnitedStatesmilitaryknowsit.TheChiefoftheU.S.Navy’sPacificCommand,AdmiralSamuelLocklear,recentlysaidthatClimateChangeisoursinglegreatestsecuritythreat.MyFriends,thisbody-perhapsmoret
5、hananyothergatheringinhumanhistory-nowfacesthatdifficultbutachievabletask.Youcanmakehistoryoryouwillbevilifiedbyit.Tobeclear,thisisnotaboutjusttellingpeopletochangetheirlightbulbsortobuyahybridcar.ThisdisasterhasgrownBEYONDthechoicesthatindividualsmake.Thisisnowaboutourindustries,andgovernmentsaro
6、undtheworldtakingdecisive,large-scaleaction.Nowmustbeourmomentforaction.Weneedtoputapricetagoncarbonemissions,andeliminategovernmentsubsidiesforoilcoalandgascompanies.Weneedtoendthefreeridethatindustrialpollutershavebeengiveninthenameofafree-marketeconomy,theydon'tdeserveourtaxdollar.Theydeserveou
