2、3,China)Abstract：Geography,includinghumangeography,hadbeenafielddominatedbytraditionalgenderideolo-gY,whichgavelittlescholarlyattentiontowomen’Sissues，foraverylongtime．Inthe1960s，underthestronginfluenceofthesecondfeministmovement，feminismandhumangeographystartedtoin

3、tegrate，andfeministgeography,anewsubfieldofhumangeography,waslunchedinthewesternsociety．Simplyspeak-ing，theprimaryaimoffeministgeographyistoexposeandhelpeliminategenderinequalitieswithregardtoman—landrelationships．Thisessaysystematicallyandcriticallyreviewstheoverse

4、asdevelopmentoffemi-nistgeographyinthepastfewdecades，andhighlightsthenecessityandimportanceofdevelopingthissub—fieldofhumangeographyinChina．Firstly,theessaylaysouttheacademicoriginsoffeministgeography．Itispointedoutthatfeminism，radicalgeographyandculturalturnarethre

5、emajorfactorsthathavesignificant—lyshapedthelandscapeoffeministgeography．Specificallyspeaking，itisfeministswhohighlighttheneces-sitytoaddressissuesthatcausegenderdiscriminationsexperiencedbymostwomenintheireverydaylife，radicalgeographersshowtheimportanceandpossibili

6、tyofwhichacademiacanmakeadifferencetosolvesocialissues，andtheculturalturnilluminatesthateverydaylifeshouldn’tbetakenforgrantedbutshouldbesubjectedtocarefulexamination．Secondly,themajorresearchareasandfindingsinfeministgeographyaresummarizedandanalyzed．Theessaypoints
