3、eHuangsangNationalNatureReserveofHunanProvince(China)wasinvestigatedmonthlyin6selecteddifferenthabitattransectsfromApriltoOctober,2016.Atotalnumberof3611individualswereobservedandfoundtheybelongedto170speciesof96ge-neraunder5families.ThefamilyLycaenidaehadthelargestnumberofindividuals(1365),ac-coun
4、tingfor37.8%ofthetotal.FollowedbyHesperiidae,Lycaenidae,Pieridae,andPapilionidae,thefamilyNymphalidaehadthelargestnumberofspecies(87),for51.2%ofthetotal,andthelargestTaxonomicDiversityIndexvalue(H’(GS)=9.9636),andrelativelylargerPielouEvennessIndex(Jvalue)&MargalefSpeciesRichnessIndex(Rvalue).Thebu
5、tterflycommunityinthetran-sectIVlocatedinthecoreareaoftheReservehadthehighestH’(GS)andRvalue,relativelylargerJvalue,andlowerDvalue,whiletheoneofthetransectVintheexperimentalareahadthelowestH´(GS)andRvalue,relativelylowerJvalue,andlargerDvalue.Theresultobtainedbyclusteranalysisforthe6transectsshowed
6、thatthesimilaritiesofthesebutterflycommunitieswerere-latedtothehabitatqualityaswellasvegetabletypes,however,thebutterflycommunitiesbe-tweenthetransectI,II(outsidetheReserve)andtheotherfourtransects(withintheReserve)hadrelativelylowsimilarity.Overall,fromJulytoOctober,thebutterflycommunitiespresentt
7、herela-tivelyhigherSpeciesDiversityIndex(H´)andRvaluebutthelowerDvalue.ThebutterflyfaunainthisReservewasdominatedbytheOrientalspecies(123,72.35%),followedbytheWidespread(45species,26.47%)andthePalearctic(2s
