3、uangsangNationalNatureReserveofHunanProvince(China)wasinvestigatedmonthlyin6selecteddifferenthabitattransectsfromApriltoOctober,2016.Atotalnumberof3611individualswereobservedandfoundtheybelongedto170speciesof96ge-neraunder5families.ThefamilyLycaenidaehadthelargestnumberofindividuals(1365),ac-countin
4、gfor37.8%ofthetotal.FollowedbyHesperiidae,Lycaenidae,Pieridae,andPapilionidae,thefamilyNymphalidaehadthelargestnumberofspecies(87),for51.2%ofthetotal,andthelargestTaxonomicDiversityIndexvalue(H’(GS)=9.9636),andrelativelylargerPielouEvennessIndex(Jvalue)&MargalefSpeciesRichnessIndex(Rvalue).Thebutter
5、flycommunityinthetran-sectIVlocatedinthecoreareaoftheReservehadthehighestH’(GS)andRvalue,relativelylargerJvalue,andlowerDvalue,whiletheoneofthetransectVintheexperimentalareahadthelowestH´(GS)andRvalue,relativelylowerJvalue,andlargerDvalue.Theresultobtainedbyclusteranalysisforthe6transectsshowedthatt
6、hesimilaritiesofthesebutterflycommunitieswerere-latedtothehabitatqualityaswellasvegetabletypes,however,thebutterflycommunitiesbe-tweenthetransectI,II(outsidetheReserve)andtheotherfourtransects(withintheReserve)hadrelativelylowsimilarity.Overall,fromJulytoOctober,thebutterflycommunitiespresenttherela
7、-tivelyhigherSpeciesDiversityIndex(H´)andRvaluebutthelowerDvalue.ThebutterflyfaunainthisReservewasdominatedbytheOrientalspecies(123,72.35%),followedbytheWidespread(45species,26.47%)andthePalearctic(2s
