4、steelmakingprocesseshavetobekeptundertightcontrol.Despiteofthedetrimentaleffectofinclusionsonthesteelqualityandsteelproductivity,foranoutsideritsoundsstrangethatinclusionsareformedonpurpose,i.e.duringthedeoxidationpractice.Thoughmostoftheoxideparticlesarere

5、movedeasily,arelativesmallamountofthemstaysintheliquidsteelandgivesrisetonozzlecloggingandlossofproductquality.Thepresentresearchdescribesnon-metallicinclusionsinaluminiumkilledsteelsproducedatthesteelplantofSidmar.Beingageologistmyattentionisinparticulardr

6、awnonthemorphologyoftheinclusions.Theirmorphologydependsontheconditionsduringtheirformationandgrowth.Furthermore,impurities,sinteringandphasetransformationsmayaffecttheirmorphology.Duringthepastyears,Ihavemadelotsofhighresolutionscanningelectronmicroscopymi
