6、ithacutesorethroat.Indiagnosis,Centorclinicalscoringsystemorrapidantigentestcanbehelpfulintargetingantibioticuse.TheCentorscoringsystemcanhelptoidentifythosepatientswhohavehigherlikelihoodofgroupAstreptococcalinfection.Inpatientswithhighlikelihoodofstreptococ
7、calinfections(e.g.34Centorcriteria)physicianscancon-sidertheuseofrapidantigentest(RAT).IfRATisperformed,throatcultureisnotnecessaryafteranegativeRATforthediagnosisofgroupAstreptococci.Totreatsorethroat,eitheribuprofenorparacetamolarerecommendedforreliefofacut
8、esorethroatsymp-toms.Zincgluconateisnotrecommendedtobeusedinsorethroat.Thereisinconsistentevidenceofherbaltreatmentsandacupunc-tureastreatmentsforsorethroat.Antibioticsshouldnotbeusedinpa
