4、xperienceofMemberStateoperatingorganizationsaswellasotherrelatedindustries.InSeptember2000,theIAEAheldatechnicalmeetingonthetopicofanageingworkforceanddecliningeducationalinfrastructures.TheproceedingsofthismeetingweredistributedonCD-ROMasWorkingMaterial.SeveralrecentIAEAmeetingsincludingaseniorl

5、evelmeetingheldinJune2002inViennaandatechnicalsessionoftheIAEAGeneralConferenceinSeptember2002addressedmethodsofknowledgetransfer.ThisisthefirstIAEAreportpublishedonthisspecifictopic.In2000,theIAEATechnicalWorkingGroupontheTrainingandQualificationofNPPPersonnel(TWG-T&Q)suggestedthattheIAEAshouldd

6、evelopapublicationonthedefinitionofcorecompetenciestobemaintainedbyanNPPoperatingorganization.TheTWG-T&QsuggestedthatthisTECDOCshouldprovideadditionaldetailbeyondthatspecifiedintherecentlyrevisedSafetyGuideNS-G-2.8,Recruitment,QualificationandTrainingofPersonnelforNuclearPowerPlants.Thistaskwasin

7、cludedintheapprovedprogrammefor2002–2003.InMarch2001,IAEA-TECDOC-1204,ASystematicApproachtoHumanPerformanceImprovement:TrainingSolutionswaspublished.ThisTECDOCprovidesacomprehensivelistofcorecompetencies.Thesecompetenc
