3、-6,Picasso'spalettebegantolightenconsiderably,bringinginadistinctivebeigeor"rose"tone.Thesubjectmatteralsoislessdepressing.HerearethefirstappearancesbythecircusperformersandclownsthatwillpopulatePicasso'spaintingsatvariousstagesthroughtherestofhislongcareer.RosePeriodThecollaboration
4、betweenPicassoandBraquewasendedbytheFirstWorldWar.Afterthewar,Picasso,reflectingsociety'sdisillusionmentandshockwiththetechnologicalhorrorsofthewar,revertedtoaClassicistmodeofrepresentation.Atthesametime,however,hewascontinuingtopushCubismintonewpaths.Duringthe'30sPicassobecametangen

6、ental"Guernica”"Guernica”Inthelasttwodecadesofhislongcareer,Picassoproducedmoreworkthanatanyothertimeofhislife.Duringthisperiod,someworksarenotonlydatedbymonthandday,butwithanumeral(I,II,III,etc.)indicatingmultipleworkscreatedthatsingleday!LateworkThroughoutPicasso'slifetime,hisworkw
