5、eearly1980s.TheMidwichCuckoos(1957)hasbeenfilmedtwiceasVillageoftheDamned.TroublewithLichen(1960)Chocky(1968)hasbeenadaptedasaThamesTelevisionserial.Web(1979)isashortnovelthat,althoughlesswellknown,includesallhismajorthemes.Thefirstfournovels,writtenoverafairlyshortperiodint
