3、188-S0strainwascharacterizedby(a)lowinfectivity,(b)delayedandrestrictedgrowthassociatedwithlowanddelayedRNAsyn•thesis,and(c)ahighcontentofstructuralantigens.Incontrast,Purdue-l15andD-52strainswerecharacterizedby(a)highinfectivity,and(b)anormalpatternofvirusreplicationandRNAandstructuralantige
4、nsynthesis.TunicamycininducedtheinhibitionofsynthesisofElandE2glycoproteins(detectedbytheELISAtestusingmonoclonalandpolyclonalantibodies)aswellasasignificantreductionintheNPprotein.Theinhibitoryeffectoftunicamycinwasinfluencedbythecelltypeandvirusstrain.KEY-WORDS:Coronavirus,Transmissiblegast
