1、专业外语Unfortunately,someschoolofficialshavemisinterpretedthemainstreamingmandatesandhaveclosedallspecialclassesandplacedallspecialstudentsintheschoolinregularclasses.Inouropinion,thisisamistakewhentherearestudentsintheregularclassroomthathavemoderatetoseverepro

2、blems.Thisapproachiswrongforatleasttworeasons・First,regularclassroomteacherssimplydonothavethetimetoprovidetheintensiveindividualattentionthatmanyofthesestudentsneed・Second,itisunfairtoboththemainstreamedstudentandtotheothersintheclasstoallowcontinualdisturba

3、ncesintheclassbychildrenwhocannotcontroltheirbehavior.Webelievethatschoolofficialsshouldprovidealternativeeducationalplacementsforchildrenwithseverelearningorbehaviorproblems,andthatteachersshouldresistacceptingsuchstudentsintheirclassroomsuntilthebehaviorcan

4、bebroughtundercontrol.Mainstreamingintoregularclassroomswasdesignedtoaccommodatethosewhohavemildproblemsthatinterferewithlearning・Consequently,theemphasisshouldbeplaceduponprovidingservicestothesestudents.不幸的是，一些学校官员已经曲解了主流化授权，关闭了特教班，把所有的特教生安置在正规课堂里。在我们看来，在正规

5、课堂里的学生有着屮度到重度问题的情况是有欠考虑的。至少从两个方面来讲，这种操作方式都是错误的。首先，正规课堂的老师没有时间对单个孩子保持密切的关注，这样就无法照顾到很多其他的孩子。第二，无论对于随班就读的学生还是其他的学生来讲，被那些无法控制自己行为的孩子持续的打扰上课都是不公平的。我们认为，学校官员应该给那些存在重度学习或者行为问题的孩子提供选择性的教育环境，而且老师应该拒绝接受这些孩子进班，直到他们的行为得到控制。正规课堂的主流化旨在接纳那些学习上面有轻度问题的孩子。因此，我们应该将重心放在为这些存在重度问题
