1、摘要岩画是凿刻或涂绘于岩石表面的图画，从创作的时间开始，一直暴露在自然环境中，受到风吹、日晒、雨淋以及不同质地的岩石受到不同程度的风化，使得岩画图案可能变得模糊不清；从主观而言，可能同一副图画经过不同时期人的磨、凿、刻、划，或者在同一块岩石上岩画层层叠加，使得诸多岩画不能被准确的辨别出图样纹饰；在岩画发现点周围发现的地下考古遗存又比较稀少。鉴于以上因素，很难从岩画本身辨别出岩画创作的年代，故而在岩画的断代方法需要另辟蹊径。针对岩画断代又有两种新的方法：一为利用高科技手段，主要用于涂绘岩画的断代，而对磨刻、凿刻类岩画的断代则有诸多限制；另一方法即为分析岩画图案与周围

2、出土遗存中图案包含的内容、创作风格等方面来分析二者之间是否有这继承关系或相互影响的关系，然而运用这一方法得出的结论又显得模糊不清。本文针对阴山虎岩画的断代方法即为上文提到的第二种方法，但在此方法的基础上又参照考古学类型学的方法，将古代中国北方地区青铜器中出现的虎图形按照类型学划分，以此为参照和对比，更为准确的辨别出阴山不同虎岩画的相对年代。关键词：阴山岩画，草原虎纹青铜器，鄂尔多斯虎纹青铜器，断代AbstractllUllllllllllllLIIIILLIIIllllLIIlllUllllI＼2137997Rockpaintingisthepicturechis
