3、reof.Asecondwayofhelpingthemistochoosethewordstheymaybefinddifficultandpre-teachthembeforebeginningthereading.InordertoleadinthepartReading,theteachercanfirstaskthestudentstodiscusswhethertheyhaveeverconsideredmakingfriendswithanimals,plantsorevenanobjectandwhyorwhynot.Thestudentsaresupposed

5、hetextmightbeabout.Thenasktheclasstoreadthepassagesilently.Sometimesaskthemsomequestionstofocustheirreading.Alternately,askthemtotellwhatthemainideaforeachparagraphis.Makesurethattheydoitinonesentence.Thisisveryusefulbecauseitismakingthemanalyzewhatisimportantandwhatisnot.Whilediscussingthei

6、deasputforwardinthereadingpassage,thestudentsshouldbeencouragedtoputforwardtheirownideas,eithercriticizingthetextorusingitasasupportbecausetheyshouldthinkwhethertheyagreeordisagreewiththewriter.Besides,inordertohelpthestudents’ownwriting,itisalsoimportanttoaskthemtofindoutandremembersomephra
