3、coronavirus(SARS-CoV)spike(S)protein,andfurtheranalyzedtheimmunogenicityofdis-playedSprotein.TheentireectodomainofSproteinwasfusedbetweenthegp64signalpeptideandtheVSV-Gmembraneanchorandsuccessfullydisplayedonthebaculovirussurface.Subcutaneousinjectionw
4、ithpurifiedS-displayedbaculoviruseswithoutadjuvantelicitedhighlyeffectiveproductionofspecificandneu-tralizingantibodiesagainstSproteininmice.TheseresultsconfirmedasuccessfulsurfacedisplayofSpro-teinonbaculoviruse,andsuggestedapotentialroleofS-displayed
5、baculovirusesasanovellivevirus-basedvaccinecandidateforSARS-CoV.INTRODUCTIONvectortoexpressheterologousproteinsininsectcellsandlar-vae(Kostetal.,2005).ThebaculovirussurfacedisplaysystemHESEVEREACUTERESPIRATORYSYNDROME(SARS),alsoisaspecializedbaculoviru
6、sexpressingsysteminwhichthetar-Tnamedinfectiousatypicalpneumonia,isanewlyemergentgetproteinisincorporatedintotheenvelopeofthebuddedtransmissiblefebrilerespiratorydisease.In2003,itcausedavirusesanddisplayedonthesurfaceofthevirions(Boubliketworldwideoutb
