5、ryintothetargetcellinvolvestwomajorsteps:virionbindingtothecell-surfacereceptorandfusionofthevirionandcellmembranes.Virus–cellmembranefusionismediatedbythevirusenvelopecomplex,anditsfusogenicityistheresultofanactivevirus–cellinteractionprocessthatinduces
6、conformationchangeswithintheenvelope.Forsomeviruses,suchasinfluenza,exposuretoanacidicmilieuwithinthecellduringtheearlystepsofinfectiontriggersthenecessarystructuralchanges.However,forotherpathogenswhicharenotexposedtosuchenvironmentalstress,activationof
