3、ironmentalprotectionwithoutwhichtheprogressofacitywillcometoanendisacrucialpartofthecity’sdevelopment.Takeachemicalfactorynearmyschoolforexample.Inthepast,itwouldreleasegreenhousegasesintotheatmosphereandpourwastedirectlyintorivers,whichcontributedtoglobalwarmingandleadtothecontaminati

4、onofthewatersource.Astimewentby,theenvironmentnearthefactoryruinedrapidlywhichcompletelypreventedthefactoryfromdeveloping.Asaresult,thefactoryendedupwithclosingdown.Thiscouldhavebeenavoidedifthefactoryrealizedtheimportanceofenvironmentalprotection.Secondly,environmentalprotectionwhichc

5、reatesaneco-friendlyareawhereresidents’mentalhealthiswellprotectedpromotesthestabilityofthewholesociety.Obviously,withoutsomedegreeofenvironmentalsacrificeeconomicdevelopmentcanhardlybemade.Thus,hugedamagetotheenvironmentaswellashumanbeingswillbedoneasaresultofthefactories’andgovernmen

6、t’neglect.Tobespecific,factoriesthatdumptoxicwasteintothesurroundingregion’smainwatersupplywillcausediseaseandotherhealthdefectsofthecitizenslivinginthearea.Furthermore,thelocalhealthcaresystemisgoingtobeburdenedanincreasingnumberofpatientswhichresultsinalargecostofmillionsofdollarswhi

7、chcouldhavebeenspentonfurtherdevelopingtheeconomy.Onthecontrast,adequateenvironmentalprotectioncanmakeitpossibleforthewholenaturalandsocialsystemtodevelopinamoreeco-friendlyway.Lastly,byinvestingmoreindevelopingtechnologywhichiseco-friendly,governmentscannotonlyleaveournextgeneration
