6、gnofthedriveallowsforveryhighpressuresatthebottomoftheramstroke.Thistypeusesacrank,whichmovesajointconsistingoftwoleversthatoscillatetoandfromthedeadcenterandresultsinashort,powerfulmovementoftheslidewithslowtravelnearthebottomofthestroke.Ahydraulicpressisusedbasicallyforformingoperationsandhas
7、asloweroperatingcycletimethanmostmechanicalpresses.Theadvantagesofhydraulicpressesarethattheworkingpressure,stroke,andspeedoftheramareadjustable(Figure13-2).Hydraulicpressesbelongtotheforce-constrainedtypeofformingmachines.Theirma
