2、ts(agelimit17-28years)participatedinalargemulti-sportsworld.Firstlaunchedin1959,itspredecessor,theInternationalStudentGames.To2004,theWorldUniversityGameshavebeenheld22sessions.In1959thefirstWorldUniversityGames,Chinahasparticipatedinsometrackandfieldcompetition.From1961untilthesecondsessiono
3、ftheeighth,theChinesewerenotsentadelegationtoattend.In1975,ChinawasacceptedasafullmemberoftheInternationalUniversitySportsFederation.Ninthin1977,ChinasentadelegationtoparticipateintheWorldUniversityGamestodatesuccessive.LocatedinShenzhenGrandCanalnortheastofShenzhencity,LonggangDistrict,westo
4、fthecity,about15kilometersfrom15/15thecitycenter,isheldin2011inShenzhen26thSummerUniversiadeinthemainstadiumarea,isalsobuildingupthecityofShenzhenimplementationofculturalstrategies,thedevelopmentofsportsindustry,topromotethefutureoffitnesscenter.Theentireproject,coveringabout87.4hectares,cons
5、tructionareaofover300,000squaremeters,withatotalinvestmentofabout35billionyuan,willbecomethelandmarkofShenzhen.Includethemainstadium,gymnasium,swimmingpoolandfitnessplaza,sportsintegratedservicearea,thepresscommandcenterandothersportsfacilities.Meanwhile,nearthemainstadium,willbebuiltinabeaut
