4、tingtheUnitedStates$10millionaday.Thatwasuntilthearrivalofthespaceshuttle——aspacecraftthatcouldbeusedforseveraljourneys.ThefirstshuttlefightintospacewastheColumbia——launchedfromtheKennedySpaceCentreon12thApril,1981,.Theaimofthisflightwastotestthenewshuttlesyst
