3、Firstly,toinitiatetheexperiment,amixtureofbenzaldehyde,allylbromide,andthemetalpowderin3mLofdistilledortapwaterwithoutanycoreagentorcosolventwasstirredatroomtemperature.ThesecondofexperimentstepAfterabout24h,thereactionwasmonitoredbyTLC,andthereactionmixturewasextractedwithether;subsequently,thee
4、therextractwaswashedwithwateranddriedwithmagnesiumsulfateThethirdofexperimentstepAfterremovalofthesolvent,thecrudeproductwasobtained.Theyieldoftheallylationproductwasmeasuredby1HNMRThemetalsusedvariedfromFetoSn,andthereactionresultsarelistedinTable1.Thisstudydemonstratedthattheunusualphenomenonof
5、nanometertin-mediatedallylationwascausedbypropertiesofnanometertinparticles.Thesmallertheradiusoftinnanometerparticles,thegreatertheratioofsurfacetovolume,whichleadstoalargeincreaseofatomsonthesurfaceandanabundanceofsuspendedandunsaturatedbondsandsoon,affectedbytheunsaturatedcoordination.Allthese
6、makethesurfaceofthetinnanometerparticlemoreactiveandenhancethereactionselectivity.Whatismore,replacingthedistilledwaterwithtapwaterhadnoinfluenceontheallylations.Ourworkshowedusthatsubstantialprogresscouldbemadeinorganicreactionsinwater,whichhavegreatpotentialinreducingchemicalpollution.Whatismor
