1、MIL-STD-883EMETHOD3015.7ELECTROSTATICDISCHARGESENSITIVITYCLASSIFICATION*1.PURPOSE.Thismethodestablishestheprocedureforclassifyingmicrocircuitsaccordingtotheirsusceptibilitytodamageordegradationbyexposuretoelectrostaticdischarge(ESD).Thisclassificationisusedtospecifyappropriatepackagingandhandlingr

2、equirementsinaccordancewithMIL-PRF--38535,andtoprovideclassificationdatatomeettherequirementsofMIL-STD-1686.1.1Definition.Thefollowingdefinitionshallapplyforthepurposesofthistestmethod.1.1.1Electrostaticdischarge(ESD).Atransferofelectrostaticchargebetweentwobodiesatdifferentelectrostaticpotentials

3、.2.APPARATUS.2.1Testapparatus.ESDpulsesimulatoranddeviceundertest(DUT)socketequivalenttothecircuitoffigure3015-1,andcapableofsupplyingpulseswiththecharacteristicsrequiredbyfigure3015-2.2.2Measurementequipment.Equipmentincludinganoscilloscopeandcurrentprobetoverifyconformanceofthesimulatoroutputpul

4、setotherequirementsoffigure3015-2.2.2.1Oscilloscopeandamplifier.Theoscilloscopeandamplifiercombinationshallhavea350MHzminimumbandwidthandavisualwritingspeedof4cm/nsminimum.2.2.2Currentprobe.Thecurrentprobeshallhaveaminimumbandwidthof350MHz(e.g.,TektronixCT-1at1,000MHz).2.2.3Chargingvoltageprobe.Th

5、echargingvoltageprobeshallhaveaminimuminputresistanceof1,000M6andadivisionratioof4percentmaximum(e.g.,HP34111A).2.3Calibration.Periodiccalibrationshallincludebutnotbelimitedtothefollowing.2.3.1Chargingvoltage.Themeterusedtodisplaythesimulatorchargingvoltageshallbecalibratedtoindicatetheactualvolta

6、geatpointsCandDoffigure3015-1,overtherangespecifiedintableI.2.3.2Effectivecapacitance.EffectivecapacitanceshallbedeterminedbychargingC1tothespecifiedvoltage(withtableI),withnodeviceinthetestsocketandthetestswitchopen,andbydischargingC1intoanelectrometer,coulombmeter,orcalibratedcapacitorconnectedb
