4、electedwithdueregardtopublichealthrelevanee,evideneeonefficacyandsafetyandcomparativecosteffectiveness・Essentialmedicinesareintendedtobeavailablewithinthecontextoffunctioninghealthsystemsatalltimesinadequateamounts,intheappropriatedosageforms,withassuredqualityandadeq

5、uateinformation,andatapricetheindividualandthecommunitycanafford.Theimplementationoftheconceptofessentialmedicinesisintendedtobeflexibleandadaptabletomanydifferentsituations;exactlywhichmedicinesareregardedasessentialremainsanationalresponsibility.Theconceptofessentia
