2、includewordsthatareinthemostfrequent2000wordsofEnglish.TheAWLwasprimarilymadesothatitcouldbeusedbyteachersaspartofaprogrammepreparinglearnersfortertiarylevelstudyorusedbystudentsworkingalonetolearnthewordsmostneededtostudyattertiaryinstitutions.TheAcademicWordListreplacestheUnivers

3、ityWordList.SublistsoftheAcademicWordListEachwordinitalicsisthemostfrequentlyoccurringmemberofthewordfamilyintheAcademicCorpus.Forexample,analysisisthemostcommonformofthewordfamilyanalyse.BritishandAmericanspellingisincludedinthewordfamilies,socontextualiseandcontextualizearebothin
