2、normallybeaclinicalpsychologistwhohasatleasttwoyears9experienceaftergainingthequalificationandeligibilityforregistrationasaregisteredclinicalpsychologist,andwhohasclinicalresponsibilitiesintheunitinwhichtheworkiscarriedout.Alternativelyitcouldbeanexperiencedclinicalpsycholo

3、gistwithatleasttwoyears'practicewhohasrecentlygainedastatementofequivalenceandeligibilityforregistration.Incertaincircumstances,themainsupervisionmay,atthediscretionoftheprogrammedirectororclinicaltutor,beearnedoutbyaclinicalpsychologistwhohasatleastoneyearnsexperienceafter

4、gainingthequalificationandeligibilityforregistrationasaregisteredclinicalpsychologist.Whenthisoccurs,thequalityandquantityofsupervisionthatisreceivedbythetraineemustbemonitoredcarefullybytheprogrammedirectororclinicaltutor.9.2.Atthediscretionoftheprogrammedirectororclinical

5、tutor,thesupervisionofspecificaspectsofthetrainee'sworkcanbeformallydelegatedtoanappropriatelyqualifiedandexperiencedpsychologistwhoiseligibleforregistrationasaregisteredpsychologist,oranappropriatelyqualifiedandexperiencedmemberofanotherprofession,eitherinone-to-onesupervi

6、sionoraspartofasupervisoryteam.Whenthisoccurs,thequalityandquantityofsupervisionthatisreceivedbythetraineemustbemonitoredcarefullybytheprogrammedirectororclinicaltutor.9.3.Allclinicalsupervisorsmustbefullyawareoftheirresponsibilities-Noplacementshouldbearrangedunlessthesupe

7、rvisorhasindicatedhis/herwillingnesstoprovidefullsupervisionandtakeresponsibilityforthetrainee.Theprogrammemusthavewrittenguidelinesonclinicalsupervision,or,alternatively,utilisetheguidelinespreparedbytheCommitteeonTraininginClinicalPsychology(seeAppendix4).Theguidelinesons
