4、vesandtothepeoplesoftheworldwhoaresowellrepresentedheretoday. Tomycompatriots,IhavenohesitationinsayingthateachoneofusisasintimatelyattachedtothesoilofthisbeautifulcountryasarethefamousjacarandatreesofPretoriaandthemimosatreesofthebushveld. Eachtimeoneofustouchesthesoilofthisland,wefeela
5、senseofpersonalrenewal.Thenationalmoodchangesastheseasonschange. Wearemovedbyasenseofjoyandexhilarationwhenthegrassturnsgreenandtheflowersbloom. Thatspiritualandphysicalonenessweallsharewiththiscommonhomelandexplainsthedepthofthepainweallcarriedinourheartsaswesawourcountrytearitselfapart
