3、lowisnonzero.Thisarisesbecauseparticlesfallundertheinfluenceofgravityandbecausetheypossessinertiasothattheydonotrespondinstantaneouslytoaccelerationsoftheflow.Thermodynamiceffectsmaybeimportantwhenphasechangesoccur(e.g・,growingclouddroplets)orforchemicallyreactingflows(e.g.,combustion)
