3、icalaspects,andtheotheristheintroductionofmathematicalorquantitativedecision-makingapproaches(StefanovicandStefanovic2008).Mathematicalprogramming(MP)modelscanbefurtherdividedintolinearprogramming,mixedintegerprogramming,goalprogramming,andmulti-criteriade

4、cisionmaking(MCDM).Fuzzysettheoryhasalsobeenappliedtotackletheimprecisenessanduncertaintythatarenormallyfoundinsupplierselectionprocesses(Zadeh1965).Forexample,Jainetal.(2004)proposedanevolutionaryfuzzy-basedapproachtotacklethecomplicationsrelatedtothequal

5、itativeassessmentsofsuppliers.CabreraandMayorga(2008)providedafuzzysetapplicationinsupplierselectionfornewproductdevelopment.Theapplicationsofanalytichierarchyprocess(AHP)andfuzzyAHP(FAHP)tosupplierselectionhavebeenverypopularforthepasttwodecades.ChanandKu

6、mar(2007);Chanetal.(2008)andLee(2009a)didabriefreviewoftheworksthatappliedthesemethodologies.Forexample,Chan(2003)proposedaninteractiveselectionmodel(ISM)withAHPtohandlethesupplierselectionprocesssystematicallyandquantitatively.ChanandChan(2004)developedas

7、upplierselectionmodel,whichadoptedtheAHPandqualitymanagementsystemprinciples.SomemostrecentstudiesusingtheFAHParereviewedhere.Hafeezetal.(2007);WangandYang(2007)andYangetal.(2007)developedoutsourcingdecisionmodelsusingtheintegrationoftheAHPandothermethodol

8、ogies.ChanandKumar(2007)presentedafuzzyextendedAHP(FEAHP)approachtoselectthebestglobalsupplierforamanufacturertosupplyacriticalpartusedinassemblyprocess.Chanetal.(2007)designedadecisionsupportsystem(DSS)based
