4、evelorganizationofaleadingAfricanAmericanfraternalgroup,the“MostWorshipfulPrinceHallGrandLodge”oftheFreeandAcceptedMasonsofthe“StateofNewYorkandItsJurisdiction.”AsGrandMasterJamesHaroldJohnstoneexplained,“Ourfreedomnowrallyisapartialimplementationofasolemnpledgetaken
5、attheLincolnMemorialinWashington,D.C.,onthehistoric28thofAugust1963,intheCentennialYearofEmancipation”—thatis,apledgetakenduringthe1963MarchonWashingtonledbyMartinLutherKing,Jr.,andotherCivilRightsactivists.ManyhundredsofNewYork’sPrinceHallMasonstookthatpledge,alongw
6、iththousandsofotherpersonsofallracesandcreeds.Inthatpledge,weaffirmedourcompletepersonalcommitmenttothestruggleforJobsandFreedomforallAmericans.Tofulfillthatcommitment,wepledgedwewouldnotrelaxuntilvictoryiswon.Hereandnow,onthe15thofFebruary,1964,wePrinceHallMasonsreaffi
