3、ICLEBEAM/MASSSPECTROMETRY1.0SCOPEANDAPPLICATION1.1Thisisageneralpurposemethodthatprovidesproceduresfordeterminationofbenzidinesandnitrogen-containingpesticidesinwaterandwastewater.Themethodisapplicabletoawiderangeofcompoundsthatareefficientlypartitionedfromawatersampleintomethylenechloride

4、orontoaliquid-solidextractiondevice.Thecompoundsmustalsobeamenabletoseparationonareversephaseliquidchromatographycolumnandtransferabletothemassspectrometerwithaparticlebeaminterface.Particulateboundorganicmatterwillnotbepartitionedontotheliquid-solidextractionsystem,andmorethantracelevelso

5、fparticulatesinthewatermaydisruptthepartitioningprocess.Thecompoundslistedbelowarepotentialmethodanalytesandsingle-laboratoryaccuracyandprecisiondatahavebeendeterminedforthecompoundsasdescribedinSection13.0.Thespecificanalyticalconditionsgiveninthemethodareapplicabletothosecompoundsforwhic
