2、(theFederalAviationAdministration,orFAA)prescribethematerialpropertytestrequirementsyoumustmeetifyouapplyforaTSOauthorizationorletterofdesignapproval.TheTSOdescribestheminimumperformancestandards(MPS)ofaircraftclampstobeidentifiedwiththeapplicableTSOm

3、arking.2.APPLICABILITY.ThisTSOaffectsnewapplicationssubmittedafteritseffectivedate.ThestandardsofthisTSOapplytothetypesofclampsmeantforapplicationsinthemanufactureandmaintenanceofaircraftproducts.Theseclampsaredescribedinappendix1ofthisTSO,AircraftCla

4、mpPropertyTestRequirements.YoucanadaptthisTSOtomanufacturer’scatalogorproprietarydesigns.DonotusethisTSOforpartsusedincriticalapplicationsorstandardparts.(StandardpartsaremanufacturedtoanestablishedindustryorU.S.governmentspecification.)3.REQUIREMENTS

5、.AircraftclampsidentifiedwiththisTSOandmanufacturedonorafterthedateofthisTSOmustmeettheMPSspecifiedinthemanufacturer’spartdrawing(s)andapplicablepartspecification(s)submittedwiththeclampmanufacturer’sapplicationforTSOauthorization.a.TestRequirements.D

6、emonstratetherequiredperformancebytestingeachpropertyinthepartdrawingandapplicablepartspecification(s),andinthederivedmaterialandprocessspecificationsunderthetestproceduresinappendix1.b.Deviations.Youmayusealternativetestproceduresthatproduceanequival

7、entlevelofsafety,ifyouspecifyitwhenapplyingforTSOauthorization,andweapproveitunderTitle14oftheCodeofFederalRegulations(14CFR)§21.609.4.MARKING.a.PartMarking.EachindividualclampmanufacturedunderthisTSOmustbepermanentlyandlegiblymarkedwithatleastthename

8、orsymbolofthemanufacturerandthemanufacturer’sTSO-C1715/2/05partnumber.Whenpractical,marktheclampwiththeTSOnumber.Youcanuseanalternatemethodofmarking,solongastheAdministratorapprovesit.b.PackageMarking.Packagemarkingmustconformto14CFR§21.607(d)
