4、chnologicaldevelopmentoftheaeronauticalindustryonaworld-widebasis; Desiringtoprovidefairandequalcompetitiveopportunitiesfortheircivilaircraftactivitiesandfortheirproducerstopart-icipateintheexpansionoftheworldcivilaircraftmarket;Beingmindfuloftheim
5、portanceinthecivilaircraftsectoroftheiroverallmutualeconomicandtradeinterests; Recognizingthatmanysignatoriesviewtheaircraftsectorasaparticularlyimportantcomponentofeconomicandindustrialpol-icy; Seekingtoeliminateadverseeffectsontradeincivilairc
6、raftresultingfromgovernmentalsupportincivilaircraftdevelopme-nt,production,andmarketingwhilerecognizingthatsuchgover-nmentalsupport,ofitself,wouldnotbedeemedadistortionoftrade; Desiringthattheircivilaircraftactivitiesoperateonacomm-erciallycompetit
