2、:InitialProvisionsARTICLE1.1:RELATIONTOOTHERAGREEMENTSNothinginthisAgreementshallderogatefromanyinternationalobligationofaPartywithrespecttoanyotherPartyunderexistingagreementstowhichbothPartiesareparty.2ARTICLE1.2:NATUREANDSCOPEOFOBLIGATIONS1.Membersshallg

3、iveeffecttotheprovisionsofthisAgreement.APartymayimplementinitsdomesticlawmoreextensiveprotectionandenforcementofintellectualpropertyrightsthanisrequiredbythisAgreement,providedthatsuchprotectionandenforcementdoesnotcontravenetheprovisionsofthisAgreement.Me

4、mbersshallbefreetodeterminetheappropriatemethodofimplementingtheprovisionsofthisAgreementwithintheirownlegalsystemandpractice.2.NothinginthisAgreementcreatesanyobligationwithrespecttothedistributionofresourcesasbetweenenforcementofintellectualpropertyrights

5、andenforcementoflawingeneral.ARTICLE1.3:RELATIONTOSTANDARDSCONCERNINGAVAILABILITYANDSCOPEOFINTELLECTUALPROPERTYRIGHTS1.ThisAgreementshallbewithoutprejudicetoprovisionsgoverningtheavailability,acquisition,scope,andmaintenanceofintellectualpropertyrightsconta

6、inedinaParty’slaw.2.ItisunderstoodthatthisAgreementdoesnotcreateanyobligationonaPartytoapplymeasureswherearightinintellectualpropertyisnotprotectedunderthelawsandregulationsofthatParty.ARTICLE1.4:PRIVACYANDDISCLOSUREOFINFORMATION[Asuitableprovisionneedstobe
