3、angesareexpensivetoimplementinthelabo-lationtestroomusingvalidationcriteriapublishedintheratoryandinfeasibleforafieldstudy.OnevirtueofCFDStandardGuideforStatisticalEvaluationofIndoorAirQualitymodelingisthatitaccountsforgeometricdetailsoftheroomModels(ASTM,D51

4、57-97).Thisstudyundertookfourvali-thataffectairflow.ThisfeaturesetsCFDmodelingapartfromdationcasescenariosforaCFDmodel.Aventilationtestroomsimplemassbalancetypemodels(Klepeisetal.1996;Ottwassetupasamixedairspacecontainingaheatsourceand1999)inwhicharoomcanonly

5、bedescribedbyvolume.Also,acigarettesourceemittingparticulateinasteady-statecondi-CFDmodelingcanpredicttrendsinaspacethatarenotreadilytion.Themodelwasvalidatedforbothtemperatureandapparentwithvisualinspectionsofspaces.particulateconcentrationsolutionsinthemixe

6、dairtestroom.OnlyrecentlywasitsuseexpandedfromCFDspecialistsTheroomwasthenchangedtohaveadisplacementventilationtoHVACengineersbecauseoftheavailabilityofadequateairarrangement.Themodelwasagainvalidatedforpredictedcomputerhardwareandsoftware.Engineersskilledwit
