2、sstudiesfoundthatcampaignWebsitesdidnotrealizetwo-waycommunicationideals,thecurrentstudyinvestigatespotentialdifferencesincommunicationpatternsbetweencampaignblogsandWebsitesduringTaiwan，s2008legislativeelections,withanaimatexploringwhetherthebloggingphenomenoncanelicithopetoimprovetheprocessofonli
3、nepoliticalcommunication.Design/Methodology:Thisstudyusedacontentanalysisapproach,ormoreprecisely,thewebstyleanalysismethod,whichwasdesignedspecificallyforanalyzingWebcontent,andappliedittoanonlinecampaigncontextinadifferentpoliticalculture,usingTaiwarfslegislativeelectionasacasestudy.Findings:Resu
4、ltsindicatedthatboththethemesofcampaignblogsandWebsitesfocusedon"attackingopponents,Mratherthanfocusingonpoliticalpoliciesorsubstantialinformationconcerningparticularissues.However,campaignblogsandWebsitessignificantlydifferedinallotherdimensions,includingstructuralfeatures,functions,interactivity,
5、andappealstrategies.Overall,intermsoftheonlinedemocraticideal,campaignblogsappearedtoallowmoredemocratic,broader,deeper,andeasiertwowaycommunicationmodelsbetweencandidatesandvotersoramongvoters.Originality/Value:Thisstudyfoundaparticularroletakenbyhyperlinksoncampaignblogs.Byprovidingagreaterabunda
