3、ethen,evidentialityattractesmoreandmoreattentionofresearchers,andtheresearchesarefruitful.Oftheresearchers,themostprominentareChafeandNichlols(1986),AikhenvaldandDixon(2003).ChafeandNichlols(1986)seminalcollectionofpapersonevidentialsbroughtevidentialsystemtotheattentiono
4、flinguistsworkingonlanguagesthatlacksuchsystems.Theresearchofevidentialityisofboththeoreticalandpracticalsignificance.Thispaper,onthebasisoftheJournalOntheSyntaxandSemanticsofEvidentials,willexaminesomequestionsaboutevidentiality.Itconsistsoffourparts:thefirstpartistheint
