3、hisyear,whenGardnerturns65,hewillbemakinganumberofpresentationsinwhichhereflectsonthecourseofhisthinkingovertheyears,aswellashisspeculationsaboutthefuturecourseofworkinthistradition.WhilemanyindividualsbelievethatGardnersetouttodislodgeIQandstandardintelligencetheory,infact
4、hedidnothavethistargetinmindwhenhebegantheresearchthatledtothetheory.Indeed,asonewhohaddonewellonstandardizedtestsandhadbeentrainedinthePiagetiantradition,hehaddevotedlittlethoughtorstudytotheoriesofintelligencealtogether・Rather,itwashisempiricalworkwithnormalandgiftedchild
