3、onthsof1937whenReutherplayedimportantrolesintheefforttoorganizeGeneralMotors,Ford,andtheDetroitWestSideshops.MyownresearchleadsmetobelievethatReutherworkedverycloselywiththeCommunistsduringthisperiod,buthedidnotactuallyjointheparty.Inbuild•ingtheDetroitautolocalshewasfriendly,evenintimate,wi
