3、anguagetosmallelectronicdevices,allowingapplicationstobesharedbetweenmobilewirelessdevices・Whendesigningitsspecifications,J2MEfollowsthebasicprincipleofcreatingasingledevelopmentsystemforvariousdevices・SoJ2MEfirstdividedallembeddeddevicesintotwotypes:oneisanembeddeddevicew
4、ithlimitedcomputingpowerandlimitedpowersupply(suchasPDAandcellphone);theotherisrelativelybettercomputingpowe匚Andpleaseuseembeddeddevices(suchasairconditioners,refrigerators,set-topboxes)thatarerelativelyadequateinpowersupply.Becauseofthesetwotypesofembeddeddevices,Javaintr
5、oducedaconceptcalledConfiguration,andthendefinedtheConnectedLimitedDeviceConfiguration(CLDC)specificationfortheabove-mentionedembeddeddeviceswithlimitedcomputingpowerandlimitedpower;DevicesareregulatedasConnectedDeviceConfiguration(CDC)specifications.Inotherwords,J2MEfirst
6、dividesallembeddeddeviceconfigurationconceptsintotwoabstractpatterns.Infact,herewecanregardConfigurationasthespecificationofJ2MEfortwotypesofembeddeddevices,andthesespecificationsdefinethespecificationsofthesedevices,suchascomputingpower,powersupplycapacity,memorysize,etc.
