3、rldeconomytoreturntostabilityandhealthyeconomicgrowth.Inshort,andeversince2007,theG・20meetingsandotherinternationalorganizationshaveproposed,intheirattempttoavertanyworseningofthe"greatrecession',tomonitorandregulatethefinancialsystemandtonegotiatea“n
4、ewarchitecture,fortheIMSsothatfinancialmarketscouldreturntoperformingtheirprimaryfunctionwhichistofinanceproductiveinvestmentandconsequentlyexpandeffectiveworlddemand・Unfortunately,theconservatismandconflictsofinterestamongthemembercountriesoftheG-20h

6、nalintegrationhasbecomeasecondbeststrategyforthedevelopingcountries,specificallyforSouthAmericacountries.ThispointiscorroboratedbyUNCTAD(2007),whicharguesthatthereisnobetteralternativeavailabletothemajoremergingeconomies,includingSouthAmericaneconomie
7、s,thanregionalintegration.Inthisway,sincethe2000s,asaresultofthestagnationoftheFreeTradeAreaoftheAmericas(FTAA)negotiations,theSouthAmericanintegrationprocesshasexperiencedimportantchanges,suchasthecreationoftheSouthAmericaCommunityofNations(CASA),in2
