3、sethetargetlanguage,throughanumberofprocedureswhichprovideanalystswiththerequireddataaboutthelearners.CollegeEnglishwritingcurriculumdesignplaysaveryimportantroleintheimprovementofthecollegestudents'Englishwritingability.However,inreality,thecurrentCollegeEngli
4、shwritingcurriculumdesignisnotveryappropriateforthenon-EnglishmajorstudentstowriteinEnglishwellAsfortheCollegeEnglishwritingcurriculum,thereexistmanyproblemsatpresent.Forexample,unlikeEnglishmajors,non-Englishmajorstudentsgenerallyhavenoseparatecourseinwriting・
5、Theteachingofwritingisintegratedwiththeteachingofreading.Inaddition,whatcollegelecturersteachhaslittleeffectontheimprovementofthestudents'writingability,becausealotoflecturershavenoideawhattheirstudentsreallyneed.Teachersandeducatorsseldomconductneedsanalysisin
6、students'curriculumdesign.Asaresult,students'needsareoverlooked,whichdiscouragesthemfromlearningtheEnglishwritingactively.Thisthesis,onthebasisofneedsanalysis,aimstomakeclearthefollowingtwopoints:Firstly,whatdothecollegestudentsreallyneedasfortheEnglishwritinga
