3、eorsmall,traditionalormodern,everyfamilyhasasenseofwhatafamilyis.Itisthatfeelingofbelonging,ofloveandsecuritythatcomesfromlivingtogether;helpingandsharing.Therearebasicallytwotypesoffamilies:nuclearfamiliesandextendedfamilies.Thenuclearfamilyusuallyconsistsoftwoparents(motherandfather)
4、andtheirchildren.Themotherandfatherformthenucleus,orcenter;ofthenuelearfamily.Thechildrenstayinthenuclearfamilyuntiltheygrowupandmarry,thenformnewnuclearfamilies.Theextendedfamilyisverylarge・Thereareoftenmanynuclearfamiliesinoneextendedfamily.Anextendedfamilyineludeschildrenzparents,gr
5、andparents,uncles,auntsfandcousins.Themembersofanextendedfamilyarerelatedbyblood(grandparent,parents,children,brothers,sisters,etc.)orbymarriage(husbands,wives,mothers-in-lawzetc).Theyareallrelated,sothemembersofanextendedfamilyarecalledrelatives.Traditionally,allthemembersofanextended
6、familylivedinthesamearea.However;withthechangefromanagriculturaltoanindustrialsociety,manynuclearfamiliesmovedawayfromthefamilyhomeinordertofindwork.Inindustrialsocietiestoday,themembersofmostnuclearfamilieslivetogether,butmostextendedfamiliesdonotlivetogether.Thereforewecansaythatthen
