3、usaspectswhichhavealreadycommencedandtheworkplanforthenextstepinimplementingthesixtheditionoftheManual.I.RelevantrequirementsoftheIMFandthescheduleforimplementingthesixtheditionoftheManualAccordingtotheimplementationstrategyforthesixtheditionoftheBalanceofPaymentsandtheInternation
4、alInvestmentPositionManualadoptedatthe22ndsessionoftheStatisticsDepartmentandtheBalanceofPaymentsStatisticalCommitteeoftheIMFinNovember2009,allmembercountriesbegantosubmitbalanceofpayments(BOP)andinternationalinvestmentposition(IIP)statisticstotheIMFinthestandardformatasspecifiedi
5、nthesixtheditionoftheManualfrom2012.Since2014,theIMFwillnotacceptstatisticsintheformatofthefiftheditionoftheManual.Meanwhile,countriesareencouragedtocollectandconductstatisticsonthebasicBOPdatainlinewiththestandardsofthesixtheditionoftheManual(BPM6).Ithasbeenlearnedthatnearly30cou
6、ntries(regions)haveimplementedBPM6,anditisexpectedthatbytheendof2014,thisnumberwillreach70–80.ImplementingBPM6isthefirsttaskinthetoppriorityworkforthemid-termplanoftheIMF.II.ProgressinimplementationofthesixtheditionoftheManualbythemajoreconomiesBytheendof2013,36economies(countries
7、/regions)hadimplementedBPM6forcollectingandconductingstatisticsandpreparingtheBOPstatistics;sucheconomiesincludetheUS,Canada,Australia,Russia,Singapore,SaudiArabia,andsoforth.FrancebegantopublishtheJanuary2014BOPstatisticsforthefirsttimeinMarch2014.TheEuropeanCentralBank(ECB)andEu
