5、andTeacher,sRoleTheword“robderivesfromthedrama.In1934,G.H.Meaduseditfirstlytorefertoapartapersonplayintheperformanceofsociallife.Later,Ellis&McClintock(1990)definestheroleastheparticipantinanyactofcommunicationwhichinvolveshisparticularstatus,identityandbehavior.Theyinvolvedifferentkindsofwork,level
6、sofresponsibility,kindsofrelationships,patternsofinteractionandcommunication,andpowerrelationships.Ineducation,accordingtoNunan(1993),therolereferstothesocialandinterpersonalresponsibilityassumedbyteachersandlearnersasclassparticipantsandthepartteachersandlearnersplayinfulfillinglearningtasks.Therol
