3、essofHadfieldsteelhasbeenincreasedgreatlyaftershotpeening.Usingelectronscanningmicroscope(SEM),highresolutiontransmissionelectronmicroscope(HRTEM)andX-raydiffraction(XRD)analysis,themicrostructureofshotpennedsurfacelayerwasexamined.Ithasbeenobservedthatananocrystallinesurfacelayerisformed.Thegrainsiz
4、esofsurfaceweredecreasedto11.117.4nmandthemaximumhardenedlayercanreachto100mafterthetreatment.Surfacehardnesswasalsoincreasedwithincreasingshotpeeningperiod.Two-bodyandthree-bodyabrasivewearexperimentswerecarriedoutforworkhardeningandoriginalspecimens,separately.Theresultsshowedthatthethree-bodywea
