1、CitiesinGlobalizationDespitetraditionallybeingastrongresearchtopicinurbanstudies,inter-cityrelationshadbecomegrosslyneglecteduntilrecently,whentheywereplacedbackontheresearchagendawiththeadventofstudiesofworld/globalcities.Morerecentlythe‘externalrelations’ofcitieshavetakentheirpla

2、cealongside‘internalrelations’withincitiestoconstitutethefullnatureofcities.Thisstate-of-the-artcollectionofessaysonhowandwhycitiesareconnectingtoeachotherinaglobalizingworldprovidesevidenceforanewcity-centredgeographythatisemerginginthetwenty-firstcentury.CitiesinGlobalizationcove
