3、srelatedtoemergenceandconstructionofmeaning,andinterpretsskillsacquisitionanddevelopmentasroutineinteriorization.CharacteristicofPETRA’sapproacharehomogeneousresearchmethodologiesthroughinternalstandards,andtheoreticalfeedbackfromcognitivelinguistics,connectionism,situatedcognition,andsoc
4、ialconstructivism.Researchmethodsincludepilottesting,sociolinguisticquestionnaires,WEISIII/TOEFL/DELEtests,professionals/translationstudents/laypeoplecontrasts,testrepetition,Translog2000,noTAPs,previoustypingperiod,lengthandstatisticalfrequencytodeterminepauserelevance,post-testquestionn
5、aires,process-producttriangulation,blindproductcross-evaluation,statisticalandecologicalvalidity.ResultsofMartíndeLeón(2003),Lachat(2003),DeRooze(2003),Gómez(2006),andprojectsofConde(2005),Perea(2005),Castro,CrucesandMuñozaresummarized.PETRAstartedoutinformallyintheyear2000,asateamwithres
6、earchersfromthe1UniversitiesofVigo,LasPalmas,andGranada(Spain).Wearemainlyinterestedintranslationexpertiseandourgeneralaimistohelptodraftamapofthecognitiveaspectsoftheprocessofprofessionaltranslating,anaimsharedbymanyempiricalresearchersinthefield,albeitnotascoordinatedasitcouldbe.HereIwo
