2、,weaseditors,reviewers,andscientistsallarefacedwithincreasingchallengestocommuni-catesciencemoreeffectivelyandefficiently.Inthisseriesofeditorials,wefocusonthequestion:HowcanweimproveourwritingofresearchpapersforLandscapeEcologyandotherprofessionaljournal
3、stoincreasetheirreadabilityandfacilitatetheprocessoftheirevaluation?Obviously,thisisnotanewquestion;nordowepromisetohaverevolutionaryanswers.Expertshavewrittennumerousbooksandjournalarticlesaddressingthisverytopic.Themaingoalhereistodiscussseveralkeyissu
4、esontheorganizationofresearchpapers—particularlyonthestructureofIMRAD(introduction-methods-results-Publishinginpeer-reviewedjournalsisessentialtoand-discussion)—thepredominantformatofscientificscientificresearch.‘‘Ascientificexperiment,nomatterwriting.Ihope
5、thatoureditors,reviewers,andauthorshowspectaculartheresults,isnotcompleteduntilwillbenefitfromthisdiscussion.theresultsarepublished’’(DayandGastel2006).Advancesinsciencedependontherigorousprocessofscientificpublishing.Justifiedornot,journalimpactIMRADasanou
6、tcomeoftheevolutionofscientificfactorsandarticlecitationshavebecomethebuzz-publishingwordsintoday’sacademicworld,andhavebeenusedincreasinglyasmetricstoevaluatetheperformanceofEveryoneinsciencemayknowsomethingresearchprojects,journals,scientists,andinstitu
